Smart Networks and Services
The objective in the area is to contribute to software technologies in the continuum computing-communication to deploy services in the network, including cloud-fog-edge, internet of things, 5G/6G networks, and industrial applications. This involves the research on improving the management, accessibility and integration of embedded devices, and its integration with Cloud-to-Things continuum paradigms and enablers in order to optimize response time and use of resources. It also involves advances in network protocols and end to end validation of performance aspects.
