Antonio Vallecillo, member of ITIS UMA, awarded the National Scientific Computing Society-BBVA Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.

Professor Antonio Vallecillo, from the University of Málaga (UMA), has been honored with the prestigious National Computing Award from the Spanish Scientific Computing Society and the BBVA Foundation. This award recognizes his outstanding career in the field of computing, with significant contributions to areas such as software engineering and complex systems.

The award ceremony in Madrid was attended by representatives from the Spanish Scientific Computing Society and the BBVA Foundation, as well as a delegation from UMA led by the Rector, Teodomiro López, and representatives from the School of Computer Engineering (ETSI Informática), the Department of Computer Science and Languages, and our Institute (ITIS UMA).
