Javier Troya, member of ITIS UMA, awarded the Málaga Research Prize 2025

Dr. Javier Troya Castilla, member of our institute and professor at the Department of Languages and Computer Science of the University of Málaga, has been honored with the Málaga Research Prize 2025 in the Sciences category, awarded by the Academia Malagueña de Ciencias and the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Telmo, with the sponsorship of Fundación Málaga.

The jury, chaired by Fernando Orellana Ramos and composed of academics Antonio Heredia Bayona, Federico J. C-Soriguer Escofet, Rafael Morales Bueno, and Juan Antonio Camiñas Hernández, highlighted Dr. Troya’s established and prestigious career, whose work has had a significant impact in the field of software applied to digital twins, a key technology for creating virtual replicas of systems and processes that allows the optimization of their performance in sectors such as industry, healthcare, and infrastructure management.
