UMA and INNOVA IRV move forward with the creation of a co-innovation laboratory in artificial intelligence.
With the aim of consolidating a collaborative space between science, technology, and the business environment, the University of Málaga and the INNOVA IRV Innovation Institute held a strategic meeting at the Accenture facilities in Málaga TechPark. The meeting is part of the preliminary work for the launch of a Co-Innovation Laboratory in Artificial Intelligence, which seeks to address major current challenges in this field through an interdisciplinary and applied approach.
José F. Aldana, Deputy Director of ITIS UMA and Director of ÁGORA Datalab, actively participated in the session on behalf of both institutions. During the meeting, various potential lines of collaboration were presented between UMA research groups and the business sector, as well as opportunities to participate in future projects with direct impact on the industry.
The session also served to create a space for dialogue among researchers, institutional representatives, and stakeholders from the tech ecosystem, where perspectives, concerns, and proposals for the laboratory’s future activities were shared.
This step reinforces the joint commitment of UMA and INNOVA IRV to open innovation, knowledge transfer, and the responsible development of emerging technologies.
