ITIS UMA was present at the seventh edition of the 5G Forum.
The Institute of Technology and Software Engineering of the University of Malaga has sponsored and participated in another edition of the 5G Forum, a meeting specialised in 5G, developed in Seville, which brings together leading national and international experts in this technological field.
During the 6th and 7th of May, the ITIS UMA team was present in the exhibition area of the event, showing several demos and presenting the Victoria Network and the 5G+Tactile project, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The results of the European 6G-Sandbox project will also be on display.
Participants who walked around the stand were able to discover everything from satellite communications to a “robot dog” connected to the 5G network, discovering all the advances of our projects, even establishing a live connection with the European Space Agency to know the “ESA 5G/6G Hub”.
In addition to being present in the demonstration area, our director, Professor Pedro Merino, gave the presentation “Red Victoria para Tecnología e Investigación en 5G Avanzado Y 6G”, explaining about this experimental platform managed by the MORSE group, which is a key European reference for the success of 16 projects of the FP7, H2020 and Horizon Europe programmes, as well as supporting numerous national projects
