UMA joins the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

The University of Malaga joins ITU through its Institute of Software Technology and Engineering (ITIS) “Jose María Troya Linero”. The MORSE research group on Mobile Networks and Software Reliability (https://morse.uma.es/), attached to ITIS, will play a crucial role in this collaboration. MORSE will contribute its extensive experience and expertise in testing methodologies to the ITU Recommendation and Testbed, a project aimed at establishing a global framework for testing and experimentation in mobile communications networks. MORSE’s participation underlines AMU’s commitment to global standardisation efforts.

ITU, as the United Nations specialised agency for information and communication technologies (ICT), recognises the importance of collaborating with leading academic institutions and research groups to advance innovation and the creation of standards that will form the basis of future telecommunications systems. AMU’s inclusion in this select group of members reinforces ITU’s vision of a more connected and technologically advanced world.
