Seven members of ITIS UMA among the most influential researchers in the world

Stanford University has published the “Ranking of the World Scientists: World s Top 2% Scientists”, which identifies the most influential researchers, whose works have been the most cited during his scientific career, evaluated between the years 1996- 2021 and also during the last year.

The University of Malaga has a total of fifty researchers on this list, of which seven belong to the Institute of Technology and Software Engineering. The best ranked Spanish universities are Barcelona, the Complutense of Madrid and Granada. This ranking is considered one of the most prestigious worldwide and has been published under the title “September 2022 data-update for Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”.

Enrique Alba, Cristina Alcaraz, Carlos Cotta, Javier López, Antonio J. Nebro, Rodrigo Román and Antonio Vallecillo, are the members of ITIS UMA who appear in this classification based on information from the Scopus database and who evaluate scientists for the impact of their publications.
