Seven members of the Institute are once again among the world’s most influential researchers

Stanford University has published the “Ranking of the World Scientists: World’s Top 2% Scientists”, which identifies the most influential researchers, whose works have been the most cited during his scientific career.

The University of Malaga has a large number of researchers on this list, of whom seven belong to the Institute of Technology and Software Engineering.

Enrique Alba, Javier López, Carlos Cotta, Cristina Alcaraz, Antonio J. Nebro, Antonio Vallecillo and Rodrigo Román, are the members of ITIS UMA who appear in this classification based on information from the Scopus database and who evaluate scientists for the impact of their publications.

The ranking, which is considered one of the most prestigious in the world, has been published for the sixth time by the University of Stanford (California, United States) in Elsevier after the evaluation of standardized information on scientific production, citations and other bibliometric indicators from more than 200,000 researchers worldwide. This ranking analyzes the impact of scientific production of researchers separately for a year and their entire scientific career and is based on information provided by SCOPUS.
